Born from a mother's love and an unimaginable loss, the Kali Jade Ashley Foundation carries Kali's light forward — through advocacy, awareness, and acts of compassion that honor everything she was.
Our mission
The Kali Jade Ashley Foundation exists to ensure that no family faces what Heather faced alone. We fund asthma awareness programs, provide support to grieving families, award scholarships in Kali's name, and advocate for legislative change through Kali's Law — because Kali deserved more time, and so do the children who come after her.

Providing emotional and practical resources to families navigating the grief of losing a child — so no parent has to walk that road alone.
Asthma awareness
Funding education programs that teach families, schools, and communities how to recognize, respond to, and prevent asthma emergencies in children.
Scholarships
Awarding annual scholarships in Kali's name to young people who carry her spirit — curious, creative, compassionate, and full of life.
Advocacy
Amplifying the voices of families affected by pediatric asthma and pushing for systemic change at every level — from classrooms to courtrooms.
Kali's Law
Fighting for change in Kali's name
Kali's Law is a legislative initiative born from the belief that Kali's death was preventable — and that with the right policies in place, other children can be protected.
The initiative calls for mandatory asthma action plans in schools, improved access to emergency inhalers in public spaces, and better training for educators and caregivers to respond to asthma attacks.
Heather has taken Kali's story to legislators, community leaders, and advocates across the country — turning grief into testimony and testimony into change.
